COURSE DESCRIPTION

Interested in learning more about entrepreneurship? Looking to start a new venture? Wondering what can be done for your career during this recessionary climate? Look no further!  Presented by CIBC, MaRS offers a free, non credit introductory course on entrepreneurship that introduces individuals to the nuts and bolts of building a business.

We are looking to introduce graduate students, post-docs, faculty, technicians, administrators, nonprofit executives and other management level professionals to a variety of topics including financing, defining markets, hiring teams, protecting intellectual property and raising capital.

We look forward to seeing you on September 30 for the kick off to this exciting series.

FORMAT

Lectures are 1 hour in length plus questions.

For students not able to attend the lecture, sessions will be recorded and posted after the event or you can register for a live webcast. A blog will be posted after each class, summarizing the event and posting the links to the presentation recording. Students can post questions for each other or the speaker in the blog comments.

5:30pm-6:30pm on Wednesdays from September to April.
